Upcoming Training Webinars for New MCNA Credentialing Process

MCNA's credentialing and re-credentialing process is changing to align with new state-mandated requirements. MCNA is hosting the following online webinar training sessions to discuss these changes:

New Credentialing Procedure for Texas Dental Providers

Beginning October 1, 2020, all credentialing information for contracted Texas Medicaid and CHIP providers will be collected by Aperture, the Credentialing Verification Organization contracted with the Texas Association of Health Plans (TAHP). Please read the Introduction to the Texas Credentialing Alliance for Dental Providers from TAHP to learn more and sign up for an introductory webinar.


Provider Relief Fund Phase 2 Updates

Eligible dentists participating in Medicaid and CHIP have until August 28, 2020, to apply for funding from the CARES Act Provider Relief Fund. The requirements for eligibility have been updated. Please click here to read the HHS announcement.


Change to THSteps Dental Benefits

Provider Relief Fund Application Deadline

Eligible providers, including dentists, that participate in Medicaid and CHIP have until Monday, July 20, 2020, to apply for distributions from the Provider Relief Fund under the CARES Act. Providers should begin their application with the U.S. Health and Human Services (HHS) now. Please click here to access instructions to begin the application process.

HHS CARES Act

On June 9, 2020, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced that they will move forward with the addition of support specific to Medicaid and CHIP program providers to be considered for financial assistance.
